The Countdown is offiical!!!

It is officially 44 days until our family adds a member - Grayson's baby brother will be born on G's 29 month birthday - March 17 at 9:30 in the morning. Here are a few of the ultrasound pictures from November - I think he looks like G! I feel great and other than being more tired than usual this pregnancy has been a breeze, I only hope he is this easy after he is born! As always we are taking name suggestions - but don't ask what we are considering 'cuz we won't tell ya! Not even bribes will tempt us!!

Life with a toddler.... You never know what you are going to get!!

A couple of weeks ago I was SO tired, all I wanted was a nap. Since Grayson has boycotted naps this was not as easy as it seems... I decided to put him in his room to take a "nap" and lay down in my own bed. I got some much needed rest and woke up in a panic because I could sense he was awake in his room. As soon as I got to the door I could smell the lotion (I thought I had moved everything he could possibly get into out of there???) when I opened the door I was greeted with a sweet hello Mama "wo Mama" and my precious 2 year old with lotion litterally caked in his hair, we are not talking a little lotion, probably close to 1/4 of the bottle was in his hair. I don't know how he did it but there was no lotion anywhere else in the room except one little spot on his bed.... I couldn't even get mad because I was laughing too hard -Lucky for him I'd had that nap!

Potty Training - An uphill battle??

While the Potty discussion has been occuring in our house since at least June, only recently have we gotten really serious about saying "SeeYa" to diapers. These pictures are from one morning I tried in vain to get him to use the potty - he was far more concerned about the fashion than doing his business, when you look that cute though who can blame you.

I am happy to report that this week has gone wonderfully!! While we are at home he spends most of his time in his Nemo undies and is super excited about getting treats for going potty like a big boy! Anyone who knows me knows I don't really care to talk about bodily functions so I feel so silly about cheering for them - but if it works it works!! Never before I was a Mama did I think I would be so excited about potty time!

Merry Christmas!!

Christmas was highly anticipated this year at our house - It is amazing having young children around during the holidays - it makes them so much more worth celebrating!! Sage "Soge" came home to spend Christmas & New Year's with us - the fact that I felt totally outnumbered with 3 boys in my house (and another in my tummy) was soothed by the fact that Grayson IDOLIZES his big brother and Sage is the BEST big brother anyone can ask for - he is patient, and so sweet with G - I am so lucky to have him as a role model for my little boys!

G couldn't wait for "Tanty" (santa) to come - when he finally arrived he brought him a kitchen set, and several trucks. Since Christmas my breakfasts, lunches, dinners and snacks daily consist of wooden eggs, pizza "seea" and toast with lots of pepper "popo" and they always come with a warning of "oh hot!", he does blow on them to help cool them off though.

Just too cute!!

Look at all the Cuteness I have been holding away from you!! I promise to be better, promise!!

Big Boy Bed

Right after Grayson's Birthday we moved him into the Big Boy Bed, the bed had been set up in his room since the Summer (that is where Sage slept) we just hadn't made the move. The first night in his big bed I think I was more excited than he was - we laid together and he fell asleep right away - I went to bed shortly after and cracked his bedroom door, I listened for him all night and never heard him, therefore never got up to check on him, however at 4:30 I got up to go potty. The minute I was in the bathroom I heard the pitter patter of little feet on the floor, G flung open the door and proceded to tell me about all sorts of things including "trucks." I went into the living room to find his Winnie the Pooh couch front and center to ALL of his new birthday toys (they were put away before he was tucked in). Who knows how long he had been up - but it was obviously awhile because when I put him back in bed the sheets were ice cold!! His door was latched from that night on!

Don't make me ride that horse!!

I found the cutest, funniest Halloween costume for Grayson to wear last Halloween - I though it may have even topped Chicken Little from the year before - it was a Cowboy riding a Horse - Grayson was to be the Cowboy and a stuffed horse was attached to him as though he were riding it. G however wanted NOTHING to do with it. He would pretend to ride it while sitting on the floor but the minute you tried to put it on him he would have a total meltdown!! Luckily Auntie M gave him a pair of striped OskKoshB'Gosh overalls for his birthday, so a last minute hat and he was the cutest conductor ever!!!

Can you believe it has been 2 whole years??

While we were on hiatus - Grayson turned 2!! We went to Chuck E. Cheese on his birthday evening and then had a big party at Pretty Mom & Pappy's on the following Saturday, of course no birthday is complete without your Best Friend, and Grayson's BFF, Lucee "CeeCee" was nearby for all of the festivities - Look at all the fun!

WOW!! Bad Mommy!!

So it has now officially been MONTHS since my last post. Please rest assured that we didn't drop off the face of the Earth - but between technical difficulties (no internet then a broken computer) moving, the holidays and preparing for Grayson's Little Brother things have been a bit touch and go!! Anyways - we are offically back and hearby make a pledge to be better about keeping Grayson's captive audience updated regularly.
